The Heart of Monaghan

Located in the heart of Monaghan is one of Irelands best known bars.  The Squealing Pig, or The Pig as it is referred to locally, has been the main party location in Monaghan for as long as we can remember.  Visitors from all over the world have come to party in the Pig and have left with fond memories and sore heads.

The bar is really three bars and to make things really confusing its really three bars and a club and a restaurant.  Clear as mud, eh?

Downstairs we have the Sports Bar. Which does exactly what it says on the proverbial tin.  With four large screens and a host of channels from all around the globe, we offer the best action in soccer, GAA, rugby, NFL and whatever your having yourself.  If its sports, we'll have it.

Upstairs we have the Lounge Bar and The Disco Bar.  The Lounge Bar offers a full bar and a relaxed continental style of atmosphere.  A popular spot on weekends, the snug armchairs are just like being at home, except without the nagging relatives.  The Disco Bar is a bottle and cocktail bar, offering a wide range of drinks and shooters.  Located beside our dance floor it ofers and handy pit stop for all the serious movers.
